Macildowie is delighted to be recruiting exclusively for a versatile Communications Officer to join an established communications team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This is an exciting opportunity to support a wide range of engagement initiatives and internal and external communication projects within a large, impactful organisation.
Key Responsibilities:

Develop and deliver effective communications strategies to support organisational priorities.

Create high-quality, engaging content across multiple channels, including intranet, email, social media, and newsletters.

Act as a communications liaison for diverse internal and external stakeholders, supporting a business partnering model.

Plan and execute comprehensive engagement campaigns and evaluate their impact.

Produce detailed communication plans and reports aligned with strategic objectives.

Potentially line-manage a Communications Assistant, ensuring high-quality content delivery.

Support out-of-hours communications (including social media duty) on a rota basis.

Represent the communications team professionally and be a proactive "critical friend" in messaging development.
Ideal Candidate Will Have:

Previous experience in a communications or engagement-focused role.

Excellent writing, editing, and content creation skills.

Experience managing communication campaigns and stakeholder engagement.

Strong planning, project management, and evaluation abilities.

A collaborative approach and comfort working in a hybrid environment.

Knowledge of relevant communications legislation and best practice.
Working Pattern:

2 days per week on-site in Leicestershire.

3 days per week working from home.
Salary & Benefits:

Salary: £34,000 - £38,000 per annum
