Are you an experienced Lettings professional with a strong track record in managing property portfolios? Are you excited by the opportunity to oversee a substantial rental book and support the acquisition of new portfolios for a top independent estate agency? If so, we’d love to hear from you.

Our client, a highly regarded independent estate agent in Leicester, is seeking a strategic and operationally strong Head of Lettings to lead the lettings division. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on managing portfolios at scale, delivering high standards of compliance and customer service, and playing a key role in business growth through acquisition.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take full responsibility for the effective day-to-day management of an extensive residential lettings portfolio.

  • Ensure that all properties within the portfolio are well-maintained, fully compliant, and let in a timely manner.

  • Work closely with directors to identify, assess, and assist in the acquisition of new portfolio opportunities.

  • Integrate new properties into the existing portfolio efficiently, ensuring a smooth transition for landlords and tenants.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with landlords, ensuring a high level of service and landlord retention.

  • Lead a team, overseeing lettings operations, compliance, renewals, rent collection, and maintenance coordination.

  • Monitor portfolio performance and occupancy levels, producing reports for senior leadership.

  • Stay up-to-date with lettings legislation, ensuring that all properties and processes remain compliant.

  • Support in setting strategic lettings targets and contribute to overall business development.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Proven experience managing large lettings portfolios and leading small to medium-sized teams.

  • Knowledge of the lettings acquisition process and experience supporting portfolio takeovers or integrations.

  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

  • Strong communication skills and a professional, client-focused approach.

  • A proactive mindset with a strategic outlook and attention to detail.

  • Up-to-date knowledge of lettings legislation and compliance requirements.
