Development Engineer

Key Responsibilities and Day to Day:

  • Produce development solutions to support clients' design and technical intent.
  • Collaborate with departments such as Planning, Workshop, Prototype, and Pre-production to align development activities with sales forecasts, demand planning, and budgetary constraints.
  • Develop cost-effective solutions for in-house or outsourced manufacture.
  • Conduct site surveys as required.
  • Maintain professionalism, honesty, and respect at all times.
  • Implement company procedures and policies to ensure compliance.
  • Communicate any problems or obstacles to your line manager for effective management and work together to create a solution.

The Person:

  • Proven experience in a similar industry (temporary and permanent displays, promotional stands, point of sale, product launch stands, etc.).
  • Strong knowledge of SolidWorks.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively.
  • Target-driven with the ability to work independently and efficiently.
  • Proficient in IT (MS Office and in-house systems - with training).
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain productive relationships with internal colleagues and external customers.
  • Methodical and precise with the ability to maintain accurate record systems and report accordingly.
  • Good numeracy skills.
  • Excellent English language skills, both colloquial and technical.
