An excellent opportunity for a Finance Assistant to join a local company who supply to the building, plumbing and timber merchant trade. Offering hybrid working, with the office based on the outskirts of Leicester.Here, you will be part a busy Finance Team, where attention to detail and accuracy is paramount within all your daily responsibilities, coupled with excellent communication skills.Key Responsibilities:• The daily posting of cash onto ledgers from BACS reports• Responsibility for the admin purchase ledger• Reconciliation of all bank accounts on a daily basis• Investigation of reconciling items as required• Responsibility for the management of the company Direct Debit scheme• Preparation and submission to bank of BACS payment files• Credit card expenses processing• Responsible for producing the monthly/quarterly promotion figures• Create productive working relationships with all Senior staff• Develop and maintain relationships with external advisers and providers• Identify improvements to transaction handing and work closely with the NMBS Finance team to implement effectively • In conjunction with the Head of Finance & Systems, ensure that all regulatory requirements are met in an accurate and timely fashionEssential Requirements:• GCSEs A to C (including Maths & English) or equivalent.• AAT qualification or equivalent• Understanding of Microsoft products, especially Business Central • Strong analytical skills • Excellent communication (written, verbal) and interpersonal skills • Excellent time management skills and the ability to work to deadlines• Focus on customer service, both internal and external users• Advanced Excel skills are essential• Experience within a Finance role• Basic knowledge and understanding of the requirements for the preparation of financial information
