About the Role:

We're launching an exciting new Short Breaks service to support children and young people aged 8-18 with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and complex needs. This purpose-built home will offer short-term stays for up to three young people at a time, giving them the chance to develop life skills, confidence, independence and build positive relationships. While Mountsorrel will be your main base, you may occasionally be asked to cover shifts at our other homes in Hinckley, Coalville, and Syston.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Build nurturing, trusting relationships with children and young people

  • Work closely with families, carers and external professionals

  • Lead and support Residential Support Workers on shift

  • Contribute to the day-to-day running of the home including cooking and cleaning

  • Accurately maintain and update all required records and documentation

  • Uphold safeguarding policies and procedures at all times

  • Promote and maintain a safe, stable, and supportive environment

What We’re Looking For:
  • Level 3 qualification in Residential Childcare (or willingness to complete)

  • Relevant experience working with children and young people

  • At least one year of experience in a supervisory or shift leader role in residential care

  • Strong understanding of safeguarding practices

  • Flexibility to work shifts including weekends and bank holidays

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
