SEMH School Behaviour Buddy - Make a Real Difference with Tradewind Recruitment!

Tradewind Recruitment is looking for dedicated and compassionate individuals to join our team as Behaviour Buddies in SEMH schools across the region. This rewarding role is ideal for those who want to make a real impact by helping students overcome behavioural challenges and reach their full potential.

What is a Behaviour Buddy?You'll work closely with students who may struggle with behaviour, attendance, or emotional regulation. Your role is to provide positive reinforcement, build strong relationships, and support both learning and well-being - often working one-to-one or in small groups.

This role is perfect for:

  • Psychology, criminology, or education graduates

  • Aspiring teachers, youth workers, or mentors

  • Individuals with experience in behaviour support, sports coaching, or SEN

  • Anyone with a calm, patient, and empathetic approach

What we're looking for:

  • Experience working with young people in any setting

  • A strong, confident presence in the classroom

  • The ability to de-escalate situations and manage behaviour positively

  • A passion for making a difference in the lives of young people

What you'll do:

  • Support students who display challenging behaviour

  • Work one-to-one and in small groups to improve focus and engagement

  • Help create a safe, inclusive learning environment

  • Collaborate with teachers and pastoral staff to put support strategies in place
