Hays Education have recently seen an increased need for Behaviour Mentors in schools across Leicestershire for day-to-day and long-term supply.

We are currently working in partnership with a specialist provision in Leicesterfor secondary aged pupils with a range of needs including Social Emotional and Mental Health issues (SEMH), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and learning difficulties who have struggled to settle into a mainstream setting.

Hereat Hays, we work with a number of schools across Leicestershire including Leicester, Market Harborough, Lutterworth, Hinckley and Loughborough. As a Teaching Assistant working with Hays, you will have the opportunity to work in schools local to you whilst retaining control of your work-life balance.Your new roleIn your new job as a Behaviour Mentor, you'll make a real and positive impact to the lives of children who have a range of care needs, life experience and personalities that makes every day varied and interesting. You will be able to successfully build trusting student relationships and act as a positive role model to vulnerable young people. We are seeking people who thrive in challenging situations who are passionate about supporting children and young people to develop key lifeskills.What you need to succeedTo succeed in your new job, you'll have experience working with vulnerable young people, ideally in an educational setting or as a mentor/coach. You're someone who thrives in challenging environments and you enjoy adapting to new situations. You'll have supported with young people with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs (SEMH), Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASD) and or Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). Most importantly, you'll be confident stepping into a new school and ready to support pupils with a range of needs.What you'll get in return
