About the Role:
We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Full-Time SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive primary school in Leicester. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and making a positive impact in their educational journey.

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with students who have a range of learning, social, and emotional needs. You will assist teachers in delivering tailored lessons and providing one-on-one or small group support to ensure each child has the opportunity to thrive in a nurturing and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with SEN.
Assist teachers in preparing and delivering personalised lesson plans and activities.
Support students in accessing the curriculum and overcoming barriers to learning.
Help manage classroom behaviour and create an inclusive learning environment.
Monitor and track student progress, working with teachers to adjust support as needed.
Provide emotional and behavioural support to students when necessary.
Work closely with the SENCO and other staff to implement support strategies for students with additional needs.

Requirements:

Previous experience working with children, particularly those with special educational needs.
A genuine passion for supporting children with diverse learning needs.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Patience, empathy, and a proactive approach to supporting students' development.
Ability to work well as part of a team and contribute to a positive school environment.
Flexibility and a willingness to adapt to the needs of individual students.
