About the Role:
Aspire People, a successful and trusted education agency, is currently seeking an enthusiastic and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant for a full-time role at a fantastic school based in Leicester. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of students with special educational needs (SEN), working alongside a supportive and passionate team.
The successful candidate will support students with a variety of additional learning needs, helping them to engage with the curriculum, overcome challenges, and achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide one-on-one and small group support for students with SEN
Assist in the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs) and tailored learning strategies
Support students with personal care where necessary
Work closely with teachers to ensure that lessons are accessible and inclusive
Promote a positive learning environment and encourage student engagement
Help manage classroom behavior and support students with emotional and social development
Requirements:
Previous experience working in a UK school setting, ideally with SEN students
A passion for working with children and making a positive impact on their education
Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
Patience, empathy, and the ability to build strong relationships with students
Relevant qualifications or training in special educational needs would be an advantage
