Are you passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)?
Aspire People is currently working on behalf of a school in LE2, Leicester, to find a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team. This full-time role will see you working with children aged 0-16 years, providing crucial support both inside and outside the classroom.
Key Responsibilities:
Support children with a range of SEN needs, including but not limited to Autism, ADHD, and learning disabilities.
Work 1:1 with key children, ensuring they can access the curriculum and develop social, emotional, and academic skills.
Provide support in both small group and whole-class settings.
Assist with classroom management, including supporting behaviour strategies and helping children stay focused.
Help deliver individualised learning plans and ensure a safe, inclusive environment for all children.
Support children during outdoor activities, break times, and other school events.
The Ideal Candidate:
Previous experience working with children, particularly those with SEN, is highly desirable.
A patient, caring, and flexible approach to supporting students.
A strong understanding of the various forms of SEN and how to effectively support students with diverse needs.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
The ability to work as part of a team, as well as independently.
A positive, proactive attitude to supporting the needs of children.
