Salary: Competitive, dependant on salary

Simply Education is seeking a Specialist Teacher to join our dedicated team, supporting pupils with Autism, Moderate to Severe Learning Difficulties, Speech, Language and Communication Needs, and behavioural challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver creative, multi-sensory lessons tailored to a wide range of learning needs
  • Support communication development using AAC, visual supports, and structured teaching approaches (e.g., TEACCH, PECS, Makaton)
  • Implement positive behaviour support strategies and work closely with behaviour specialists
  • Collaborate with therapists, support staff, and families to ensure a holistic approach to each learner's development
  • Create a safe, predictable and nurturing learning environment

Ideal Candidate:

  • Qualified teacher (QTS/QTLS) with experience in SEN/SEMH settings
  • Strong understanding of Autism, MSLD, and SLCN, and experience managing associated behavioural needs
  • Skilled in differentiating curriculum content and using specialist communication strategies
  • Resilient, reflective and deeply committed to pupil well-being and progress
  • Able to lead or work as part of a multidisciplinary team
