Overall Purpose
Responsible for managing a portfolio of clients while leading and supporting a team to deliver accurate, timely financial information. The role involves developing strong working relationships with both clients and colleagues, ensuring high-quality service delivery, and contributing to the ongoing success and growth of the firm.
Main duties and responsibilities
- Managing an allocation and the workflow of team members, providing relevant support.
- Reviewing work produced and providing team developmet and training.
- Responsible for prepartion of accounts for sole traders, partnerships, LLP's and Ltd Companies.
- Preperation of VAT returns, bookkeeping, management accounts.
- Responsible for compiling statutory accounts and managing monthly accounts
- Liasing with clients, acting as main point of client contact for enquiries.
- Support with corporate and personal tax issues and dealing with HMRC.
- Running Audit assignments (where applicable).
- Such other duties as may reasonably fall within the scope of the job and/or which may be assigned occasionally.
Person specification
- ACA / ACCA qualification (or studying towards)
- 4 or more years expereince in accountancy practice
- Experience with Xero / Quickbooks / SAGE software
- Knowledge of VAT
