Pay Rate: 28 - 33 per hour

Contract: 30 Hours per week (Mon-Fri, 09:00-16:00)

Are you passionate about boosting confidence and academic success for students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? Do you hold a QTS?

We are looking for dedicated tutors who can look past the label and see the potential, providing high-quality, individualised tuition to students who need it most.

This is a unique opportunity to build meaningful, long-term relationships with students across Key Stages 1-5, helping them re-engage with education in a safe and supportive environment.



The Role in Detail

You will be matched with students (typically working with 2 children per week, 15 hours each) to provide consistency and stability.

  • Holistic Support: Your primary focus is building self-esteem and social development alongside academic progress, specifically for students with SEN and SEMH requirements.

  • Curriculum: Deliver engaging sessions in Maths, English, and/or Science following the UK National Curriculum, adapted to the student's pace and needs.

  • Settings: Work in diverse environments including schools, public spaces (e.g., libraries), and student homes.

  • Impact: Form a lasting bond that supports the student throughout their academic journey.

Key Requirements

  • SEN/SEMH Experience: Demonstrated ability to support students with Special Educational Needs and adjust approaches for inclusivity.

  • Tutoring Expertise: Proven experience teaching core subjects (Maths, English, Science) and QTS is Mandatory.

  • Curriculum Knowledge: Strong grasp of the current UK National Curriculum.

  • Compliance: Must hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply immediately).

  • Soft Skills: Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills are essential for this student group.
