PSR Solutions are currently recruiting for a Permanent Fleet Engineer in Leicester. This will be working for one of our reputable clients within the Rail industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- You must comply with all of their local and company rules on the H&S matters.
- You must work in line with all freight/fleet engineering rules.
- Responsible for all the asset management activities, which you will reporting directly into Engineering Management team.
- You must manage all locomotive planned and all the reactive maintenance activities work sheets to verify that all the work has been completed to company standard.
- You will need to review and close out all the preventive maintenance paperwork on the asset management system they use, this will need to be done prior to the locomotive release.
- You must make sure all rail vehicle compliance and safety are all up to scratch and make sure it meets risk mitigation procedures.
- You will be working with the Engineering Manager to review both the short cast and long cast production plans.
- You will be working with the Buying and Stores teams to ensure the correct materials are always in stock ready to be used.
- You will be liaising with the their Engineer to identify and implement and monitor of the Freight locomotives
- Yoou will be providing the production team with repair schemes and maintenance procedures as required
- You will identify locomotive modification and improvement initiatives raising Engineering Change Requests when needed.
- You will be attending daily fleet meetings as required
- You will need to travel between different sites/depots when needed.
Person Specification:
- Must hold minimum of NVQ Level 3 in Engineering or equivalent. Level 5 would be preferred.
- Experience within an Engineering role, 3-5 years.
- Personnel track safety (PTS) (desirable)
- Experience in project management
- Experience in maintaining/managing assets
- Excellent organisational skills
- Analytical skills - spots any mistakes and spots what others wouldn't spot
- Great organisational skills and have great verbaland writing skills
- You must have great awareness and understanding of all engineering standards and the compliance that follows it.
- You must hold a full valid and clean drivers license
- You will have to commute between different sites and accommodation will be provided when needed.
