About the Role
We are looking for an聽experienced Vehicle Technician / Automotive Technician / Car Mechanic聽to join our busy dealership in Leicester. This role is perfect for skilled technicians & mechanics who want to work on a wide range of vehicles, from routine servicing to complex repairs. You'll be part of a professional team that values technical expertise, efficiency, and excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
路Conduct vehicle servicing, MOT preparation, maintenance, and repairs
路Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults accurately using diagnostic tools
路Perform engine, transmission, brakes, and suspension repairs
路Maintain detailed service records and ensure compliance with dealership standards
路Work collaboratively with workshop colleagues and communicate effectively with customers
Required Skills & Qualifications
路NVQ Level 3聽in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (essential)
路Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician, Automotive Technician, or Car Mechanic
路Full UK manual driving licence
路Own tools and toolbox
路Strong technical knowledge in automotive diagnostics, vehicle maintenance, and repairs
路Excellent communication and team-working skills
Desirable Skills
路Experience with dealer-level diagnostics and software
路Knowledge of hybrid and electric vehicles
路Ability to work efficiently under time pressures
