We are seeking a dedicated Transport Coordinator to manage and oversee the school transport planning for primary and secondary schools. This role involves coordinating with local transport providers, schools, and parents to ensure efficient and accurate transport allocation for pupils.
Day-to-day of the role:- Review and plan school transport for both primary and secondary education levels.
- Allocate all pupils to the correct transportation contracts efficiently.
- Facilitate negotiations for season ticket prices and contracts with local transport providers.
- Monitor communications from stakeholders including schools, transport operators, and parents, ensuring timely responses and incorporation into review processes.
- Approve transport eligibility for pupils after completing initial assessments.
- Assist in managing replacement contracts and issuing contract award documentation.
- Set up and issue parent contracts for specific schools following each review completion.
- Oversee the distribution of school and operator packages prior to and at the start of the academic year.
- Proven experience in transport coordination or a similar role.
- Strong organisational and planning skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with various stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficient in using standard office software for documentation and communication.
