Criminal Law Solicitor - 1+ Years PQE

An established law firm is seeking a Criminal Law Solicitor to join their team. This role is ideal for a solicitor with 1+ years PQE, either already qualified as a Duty Solicitor or actively working towards qualification in this area.
The successful candidate will handle a range of criminal law matters, providing high-quality legal advice and representation. This is an excellent opportunity for a solicitor to develop their criminal law experience in a supportive and professional environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Acting as a Duty Solicitor and providing advice to clients in police stations and courts
Managing a caseload of criminal law matters, including representation in hearings and trials
Advising clients on legal rights, options, and potential outcomes
Preparing documentation and legal submissions relevant to cases
Working closely with colleagues to ensure compliance with professional and regulatory standards
Keeping up to date with changes in criminal law and procedure
About You:
Qualified solicitor with 1+ years PQE, ideally with Duty Solicitor experience or working towards qualification
Strong knowledge of criminal law and procedure
Excellent communication and client-handling skills
Confident and proactive in managing a caseload and representing clients
Organised, reliable, and able to work under pressure
Committed to continuous professional development
