Class 2 Driver
Location: Leigh
Shift times: Monday to Friday, 07:00 - 17:00
Pay Rate: 15 per hour
We're currently looking for full-time Class 2 Drivers to join us at our site in Leigh, with immediate starts available on a temporary ongoing basis. We are prepared to commit to five shifts per week, with a minimum of 10 hours paid per shift, offering stability and consistency through the Christmas period and into the New Year - with the potential to continue through to Easter and beyond. This is an excellent opportunity for drivers seeking reliable work with the possibility of temp-to-perm positions for the right candidates.
Our client is a third-party provider of transportation and logistics services that offers a range of services from, Drayage, Global freight forwarding & Full truckload transport. The company is committed to environmental sustainability and works with customers to create action plans to reduce emissions.
What you'll do on a typical day:
- Carry out multi-drop pallet deliveries, typically completing 5 to 15 drops per day.
- Deliver to a range of customer sites and branches across the region.
- Deliveries will be offloaded from time to time by the customers however drivers will need to be willing to offload themselves using tail lift / pump truck.
- Operate your Class 2 vehicle safely and in line with company and road safety standards.
- Use a handheld scanner and complete all necessary delivery paperwork.
- Perform daily vehicle checks to ensure compliance with VOSA and legal roadworthiness standards.
What you need to succeed with our client:
- A valid HGV Class 2 licence, CPC, and Digital Tachograph Card.
- No more than 6 penalty points on your licence, with no DD, DR, IN, or CD endorsements.
- Proven multi-drop delivery experience.
- Good knowledge of the UK road network.
- A professional, reliable, and can-do attitude.

- Working Monday to Friday however, from time to time shifts may come up over the weekend.
