Class 1 Driver

Class 1 Night Driver - Trunking
Location: Leigh
Shift times: Monday to Friday starting between 13:00 and 22:00
Pay Rate: 16 - 17 per hour depending on hours worked

We're currently looking for full-time Class 1 Drivers to join us at our site in Leigh, with immediate starts available on a temporary ongoing basis. We are prepared to commit to five shifts per week, with a minimum of 10 hours paid per shift, offering stability and consistency through the Christmas period and into the New Year - with the potential to continue through to Easter and beyond. This is an excellent opportunity for drivers seeking reliable work with the possibility of temp-to-perm positions for the right candidates.

Our client is a third-party provider of transportation and logistics services that offers a range of services from, Drayage, Global freight forwarding & Full truckload transport. The company is committed to environmental sustainability and works with customers to create action plans to reduce emissions.

Key Responsibilities:

• A local collection first then a trunk up to a regional partner site to drop freight then travel back empty
• Safely operate your vehicle adhering to business standards.
• Using a handheld scanner and completing relevant paperwork
• Vehicle checks to ensure roadworthiness and compliance with VOSA.

Requirements:

• Must have a multidrop experience!
• HGV1 licence, Digital Tachograph Card, Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC)
• ADR licence is preferred but not essential.
• No more than six penalty points on your licence and no DD, DR, IN or CD endorsements.
• A valid CPC and Digital Tacho card.
• Excellent knowledge of the UK road network.
• A can-do attitude
