Salary
- 37,000 - 41,000 per annum (flat rate) depending on experience
- Late shift premium paid at time + one third
- Total earnings: 49,321 - 54,653 per annum (including shift premium)

About the Role:
Are you an experienced CNC Turner / Programmer looking to join a well-established and respected local manufacturing business?

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled CNC professional with a passion for precision engineering, tight tolerances, and high-quality workmanship. You'll be working on low-volume, high-quality components for demanding sectors including Aerospace, Oil & Gas, and Defence, within a company known for long-term stability and strong staff retention.

Due to continued growth, we are expanding our engineering team and are looking for an experienced 2-axis CNC Turner / Programmer who can hit the ground running.

Key Responsibilities
- Program, set, and operate 2-axis CNC turning machines
- Write new CNC programs long-hand at the machine with minimal supervision
- Edit and optimise existing CNC programs
- Complete full machine setup, including tooling, materials, speeds, and feeds
- Produce one-off and low to medium volume precision components
- Work with a range of hard and soft metals
- Carry out in-process inspection using precision measuring equipment
- Work to tight tolerances, surface finishes, and engineering standards
- Interpret and work from detailed engineering drawings
- Operate on a wide range of component sizes, from 25mm x 100mm up to 300mm x 3m

Experience & Skills Required
- Time-served experience programming, setting, and operating 2-axis CNC turning machines
- Strong ability to write CNC programs manually at the machine
- Experience with Fanuc controls and Manual Guide i (advantageous)
- Strong understanding of G-code programming (advantageous)
- Excellent knowledge of cutting speeds, feeds, and geometric tolerances
- Confident working independently in a machine shop environment
- Quality-focused, hands-on, and self-motivated approach
- Proven background within a manufacturing or precision engineering environment

Shift Pattern (Late Shift)
Monday - Wednesday: 4:30pm - 3:30am
Thursday: 4:30pm - 1:00am
