We have an exciting opportunity with our client, a dynamic and forward-thinking company within the HVAC industry who are renowned for delivering efficient and cost-effective solutions. Their team of experts provide exceptional service and innovative solutions, ensuring optimal performance and customer satisfaction. They are currently expanding and are looking for a HVAC Mechanical Designer to join their growing team.
As a HVAC Mechanical Designer, you will be responsible for developing detailed mechanical designs and system layouts, ensuring all projects meet technical specifications and quality standards.
Key responsibilities for a HVAC Mechanical Designer:
- Review and interpret specifications, drawings and design briefs to determine the appropriate design and engineering methods for mechanical systems
- Plan and produce mechanical designs using CAD/Revit
- Design conceptual HVAC systems for tenders
- Communicate with clients via the phone, teams, email and occasional site visits
- Produce layouts as per client specifications, analyse dimensions and coordination with other services to ensure quality
- Create schematics, technical specifications, design calculations and general management of HVAC and chilled water systems
- Prepare technical documentation
- Conduct technical investigations
- Compile progress reports for designated work packages, ensuring delivery of the agreed scope within budget
Key skills and experience required for a HVAC Mechanical Designer:
- Experience with CAD/REVIT
- Experience with thermal modelling software such as IES, Hevacomp or TAS
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to multitask and solve problems
