Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with autism?
Tradewind is working in close partnership with a number of inclusive, welcoming mainstream primary schools in Leighton Buzzard who are looking for dedicated Teaching Assistants (TAs) to join their teams and provide 1:1 or small group support to children with autism and additional needs.
These roles are full-time and due to start in September 2025. They are likely to run for the duration of the school year and will be temp to perm for the strongest candidates.
We welcome applications from people with childcare experience in other industries.
All applicants must be local or happy to commute to Leighton Buzzard on a daily basis.
The Role:

Supporting children with autism across EYFS, KS1 or KS2

Working closely with class teachers, SENCOs and external specialists

Helping to deliver tailored learning plans and encourage social development

Creating a calm, nurturing environment that supports every child's needs
About You:
-
Experience working with children with autism or other special educational needs (SEN)

Patient, empathetic, and adaptable
-
A positive attitude and commitment to inclusive education
-
Teaching Assistant qualification or relevant experience is desirable but not essential
