About the Role

You’ll be delivering Health and Social Care to students across Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5, helping them gain the knowledge, empathy, and skills needed for future careers in healthcare, social work, and related fields.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and delivering engaging, curriculum-aligned lessons for GCSE and/or BTEC Health & Social Care

  • Supporting students with coursework and exam preparation

  • Embedding real-world case studies to bring topics to life and inspire career pathways

  • Encouraging inclusive, respectful classroom discussions around care values, ethical practice, and safeguarding

  • Monitoring and assessing pupil progress and providing constructive feedback

  • Working collaboratively within the department to continually raise standards

  • Contributing to a positive and supportive school culture

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
  • UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

  • A degree in Health and Social Care, Social Sciences, or a related subject

  • Experience teaching Health and Social Care at KS4/KS5, including BTEC or OCR qualifications

  • Strong subject knowledge and passion for vocational learning

  • Excellent communication, organisation, and classroom management skills

  • A commitment to promoting safeguarding, inclusion, and student wellbeing

  • Enthusiasm for helping students explore future roles in the care and health sector
