Our client, a leading organisation within the HTP sector, is currently seeking a Traffic Marshall to join their team on a contract basis. This role involves coordinating and managing vehicle movement within a designated area, ensuring safety and a smooth flow of traffic, particularly on construction sites or during events.
Key Responsibilities:
- Directing vehicles to ensure smooth and safe movement within the site
- Implementing traffic control measures in line with safety guidelines
- Communicating effectively with drivers and other site personnel
- Monitoring and managing traffic flow to minimise disruption
- Ensuring all vehicles adhere to site safety rules and regulations
- Reporting any irregularities or incidents to the site manager
- Assisting with site access and egress control
- Maintaining accurate records of traffic movements
Job Requirements:
- Experience in traffic management or a related role
- Strong knowledge of traffic control measures and safety guidelines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle unexpected situations
- Attention to detail and strong observational skills
- Physical fitness to stand and direct traffic for extended periods
- Relevant qualifications or certification in traffic management (preferred)
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
