Your new companyA leading Civil Engineering contractor based in Suffolk, but operating throughout the UK. They deliver high-quality civil engineering projects in various sectors including highways, bridges, infrastructure, flood defence, energy, and rail.Your new roleCoordinate with site management to ensure timely and accurate completion of quality take-offs in line with project requirements.Oversee setting-out activities and manage the implementation of sectional service plans and drawings, ensuring permits are issued appropriately.Conduct inspections and testing to confirm that all works meet design specifications and quality standards.Prepare and review risk assessments and method statements, ensuring all control measures are clearly communicated and implemented on site.Monitor site operations to ensure full compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations and company procedures.Identify and escalate potential commercial risks or opportunities to the project team to support proactive decision-making.Support the Quantity Surveyor and Project Manager by providing accurate site records and documentation for claims and reporting.Manage the preparation and submission of as-built documentation for your section, contributing to the final site health and safety file.Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to Junior Engineers, fostering their professional development and integration into the team.What you'll need to succeedExtensive setting out experience on infrastructure projects, particularly highways, roads, and earthworks.Proficient in using Leica or Geomax surveying equipment.Skilled in transferring data from AutoCAD to surveying instruments.Strong understanding of Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) and the quality assurance process.Demonstrates effective leadership and a solid grasp of modern construction practices.Holds a full UK driving licence and is willing to travel across the Eastern region.Possession of a First Aid at Work qualification is desirable.What you'll get in returnCompany pension schemeLife assurance coverCompany car25-day holiday plus bank holidaysExtensive training programmesCycle-to-work schemeEmployee Benefits Platform & Employee Assistance Programme'The Great Escape' - leave work early every Friday!Company social calendar with regular fun days and various charity eventsA supportive business that genuinely wants to help you progress in your careerWhat you need to do nowIf you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call us now.If this job isn't quite right for you, but you are looking for a new position, please contact us for a confidential discussion about your career.
