About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Facilities Manager to join our team and take responsibility for the day-to-day management, maintenance, and development of our facilities in Leiston. This is a key role ensuring our premises are safe, efficient, and compliant, supporting a productive and welcoming environment for staff and visitors alike.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the maintenance, repair, and upkeep of buildings, grounds, and facilities systems
  • Manage facilities budgets and ensure cost-effective procurement of services and supplies
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and legal requirements
  • Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and internal teams to coordinate services and works
  • Lead on sustainability and efficiency initiatives across the site
  • Implement and monitor preventative maintenance schedules
  • Respond to emergencies and out-of-hours issues as required

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Proven experience in facilities or estate management
  • Strong knowledge of health & safety, building compliance, and maintenance processes
  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills
  • The ability to manage budgets and negotiate with suppliers
  • A proactive and hands-on approach with strong communication skills
