About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Facilities Manager to join our team and take responsibility for the day-to-day management, maintenance, and development of our facilities in Leiston. This is a key role ensuring our premises are safe, efficient, and compliant, supporting a productive and welcoming environment for staff and visitors alike.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the maintenance, repair, and upkeep of buildings, grounds, and facilities systems
- Manage facilities budgets and ensure cost-effective procurement of services and supplies
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and legal requirements
- Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and internal teams to coordinate services and works
- Lead on sustainability and efficiency initiatives across the site
- Implement and monitor preventative maintenance schedules
- Respond to emergencies and out-of-hours issues as required
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
- Proven experience in facilities or estate management
- Strong knowledge of health & safety, building compliance, and maintenance processes
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills
- The ability to manage budgets and negotiate with suppliers
- A proactive and hands-on approach with strong communication skills
- Relevant qualifications (e.g. NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent) are desirable
