As a Project Manager within the civil works programme, you will play a critical role in delivering safe, high-quality solutions that underpin the UK’s future energy security. You will work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams, build deep nuclear capability, and see your contribution recognised as the business continues to evolve.
 
Key Responsibilities
 
  • Lead the delivery of civil works projects across the full project lifecycle.
  • Maintain a holistic overview of nuclear plant Systems, Structures and Components within your programme.
  • Manage engineering studies delivered by internal teams and key contractors.
  • Prepare post-FID contracts, including terms, conditions and technical specifications.
  • Drive site-specific design changes into programme deliverables.
  • Coordinate internal and external interfaces to ensure integrated delivery.
  • Engage early with stakeholders and suppliers to manage risk and obsolescence.
  • Oversee technical elements of procurement and contract management.
  • Embed lessons learned and knowledge capture as standard practice.
 
Qualifications & Requirements
 
  • Strong background in civil or other engineering disciplines within large industrial environments.
  • HNC/HND/Degree in engineering/civils or other engineering disciplines
  • Proven experience managing major projects from concept to handover.
  • Experience coordinating multidisciplinary design and procurement teams.
  • Expertise in cost, risk, schedule and change control, including Earned Value.
  • Strong contract procurement and commercial management capability.
  • Commitment to safety, security and environmental responsibility.
