Teamforce Labour are seeking an experienced Site Setting Out Engineer to join our team on a major civils project in Leiston.

This long-term role is ideal for an engineer with proven experience in deep drainage and heavy civils works, looking to work on a high-profile, complex infrastructure scheme.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out accurate setting out and surveying for deep drainage and associated civils works.
  • Work closely with the site management team to ensure works are delivered in line with project specifications and drawings.
  • Manage quality control, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and technical requirements.
  • Monitor progress and provide daily reports on work completed and any site issues.
  • Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, and the wider project team to coordinate site activities.
  • Maintain accurate records of as-built surveys and project data.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Setting Out Engineer in civil engineering projects, particularly with deep drainage works.
  • Proficiency in using total stations, GPS, and other surveying equipment.
  • Strong understanding of construction drawings, levels, and setting out techniques.
  • Knowledge of relevant health & safety regulations and best practices.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a busy site team.
  • CSCS card (essential), with SSSTS/SMSTS advantageous.
