As a Manual Machinist, you will play a pivotal role in the successful manufacture of products such as antennas and sub-systems. Your main responsibilities will include performing precision machining of components primarily in aluminium and thermoplastics, meticulously assembling antenna components, and conducting bench fitting tasks. You will manufacture assembly and test fixtures whilst interpreting engineering drawings to ensure that specifications are met, all while utilising various measurement tools to ensure the utmost accuracy.
Hours of Work: 37.5 hours per week, worked Monday - Friday (enjoy an early finish on a Friday!)
Manual Machinist Requirements:Â
Experience with manual mills and lathe operations, preferably at Manual Machinist level.Â
Familiarity with band saws, linishers, grinders, and other manual workshop equipment.Â
Skill in using various measurement tools to ensure precision in machined components.Â
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings accurately.Â
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality craftsmanship.Â
