We are working with our respected Leominster based manufacturer for a Maintenance Technician on a full-time permanent basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining existing production machinery and site equipment to ensure minimum down time and production efficiency.

What you can expect;

  • Full time, office based on a permanent basis
  • Rotating shifts: Monday – Thursday (13:45-23:45) and Monday – Friday (06:00-14:00)
  • Salary: £15 - £18 per hour depending on experience

What you will be doing;

  • Ensuring all Health & Safety policies are adhered to
  • Working with the Engineering Team to provide a complete maintenance service across the site
  • First Line immediate response to site and equipment breakdowns
  • Accurate diagnosis of faults and reasons for failures
  • Accurately dismantling and reassembling roll forming machinery and peripheral equipment in a production environment
  • Reviewing method statements and risk assessments
  • Support the engineering team in the production of professional engineering maintenance documentation
  • Provide accurate information assisting the generation of technical purchase orders
  • Fabrication of simple stands guarding and tables etc.
  • Mig and arc Welding support maybe required on occasions
  • Providing support to the Production Team during peak times.
  • Coaching and developing other members of the team.
  • Attend weekly engineering meeting

What we are looking for;

  • Prior experience across maintenance or engineering within manufacturing environment, junior candidates will be considered and training and mentoring offered
  • Mechanically minded with hands on experience of welding an advantage
  • Understanding of currently health and safety legislation and practises
  • Computer literate
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations
  • Collaborative person who works in partnership with others inside and outside the organisation
  • Problem solving and makes decisions, remaining calm under pressure
