We are working with our respected Leominster based manufacturer for a Maintenance Technician on a full-time permanent basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining existing production machinery and site equipment to ensure minimum down time and production efficiency.

What you can expect;

Full time, office based on a permanent basis
Rotating shifts: Monday – Thursday (13:45-23:45) and Monday – Friday (06:00-14:00)
Salary: £15 - £18 per hour depending on experience

What you will be doing;

Ensuring all Health & Safety policies are adhered to
Working with the Engineering Team to provide a complete maintenance service across the site
First Line immediate response to site and equipment breakdowns
Accurate diagnosis of faults and reasons for failures
Accurately dismantling and reassembling roll forming machinery and peripheral equipment in a production environment
Reviewing method statements and risk assessments
Support the engineering team in the production of professional engineering maintenance documentation
Provide accurate information assisting the generation of technical purchase orders
Fabrication of simple stands guarding and tables etc.
Mig and arc Welding support maybe required on occasions
Providing support to the Production Team during peak times.
Coaching and developing other members of the team.
Attend weekly engineering meeting

What we are looking for;

Prior experience across maintenance or engineering within manufacturing environment, junior candidates will be considered and training and mentoring offered
Mechanically minded with hands on experience of welding an advantage
Understanding of currently health and safety legislation and practises
Computer literate
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations
Collaborative person who works in partnership with others inside and outside the organisation
Problem solving and makes decisions, remaining calm under pressure
