Junior Accounts Assistant - Letchworth Area

Office based (4 days from office, 1 day from home)

£24,000 - £26,000

Butler Rose is delighted to be partnered with this well-established and highly respected SME based near Letchworth, currently seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Accounts Assistant to join their team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a trainee or junior Accounts Assistant who is looking to develop a career in finance to join a really friendly, supportive and close knit team. The successful candidate will play a key role in the day-to-day financial operations of the business, with key responsibilities focusing on transactional duties, for example accounts payable & receivable, reconciliations, payments,.

In addition to transactional duties, the role will also provide exposure to monthly management accounts duties, supporting the wider finance function, offering valuable development and learning opportunities for someone with ambition and a proactive mindset.

Who are we looking for?

  • It is ESSENTIAL that you have previous experience within an office environment and will have some knowledge of transactional finance process, for example purchase ledger / sales ledger invoicing
  • Ideally you will be in the early-mid stages of AAT studies or looking to study
  • You will have some previous experience with MS Office, particularly Excel
  • A confident and enthusiastic approach and excellent communication skills
  • A keen interest in accounts and a desire to grow professionally
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
