Marine Projects AV Engineer | £25,000 - £35,000 (50K with Overtime) | Letchworth (Regular Overseas Travel)

Our client is offering an exciting opportunity for a skilled AV Engineer to join their dynamic team, contributing to high-profile projects from concept to completion. Working alongside some of the world’s leading shipyards, architects, and interior designers, you’ll play a key role in delivering cutting-edge AV solutions to the highest standards, on time and with precision.


Key Attributes:

  • A strong understanding of audiovisual, mechanical, and electrical systems, including how they integrate and interact within complex environments. Familiarity with relevant regulations, industry protocols, and technical terminology is essential.
  • Experience with control systems, lighting, HVAC, BMS, access control, and security systems.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools, particularly Word, Excel, and the Microsoft 365 suite.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • High attention to detail, especially in the preparation and maintenance of technical and project documentation.
  • A collaborative mindset with the ability to share technical knowledge and mentor junior team members when needed.


Key Skills:

  • Hands-on experience across multiple projects using both Crestron DM and NVX systems.
  • Solid understanding of network infrastructure, with practical experience in network architecture and configuration relevant to AV systems.
  • Strong working knowledge of digital audio systems such as Q-SYS, BSS, or similar platforms.
  • Proven experience with lighting control systems, including Crestron and Lutron, covering both programming and installation aspects.
  • Excellent fault-finding and system commissioning skills, essential for success in this role.
  • Confident and skilled in the use of hand tools and test equipment, with solid competence in soldering and hands-on technical work.
