Escape Recruitment is delighted to be working with our client, a renowned global brand, to recruit a Control & Instrumentation Project Engineer to join their Project Engineering team based in Leven.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the delivery of capital projects across manufacturing operations, specifically in liquid processing and packaging environments. The successful candidate will bring their specialist expertise in controls and instrumentation to support the full project lifecycle - from concept through to commissioning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver control and instrumentation elements of capital projects to agreed specifications
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements and develop project scopes
  • Prepare cost estimates and project timelines
  • Oversee external contractors and suppliers to ensure timely, quality delivery
  • Manage financial tracking, forecasts, and reporting throughout the project lifecycle
  • Supervise on-site construction and commissioning activities
  • Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards
  • Support risk assessments, including HAZOP, LOPA, SIL, SIS, and PRA processes

Skills & Experience Required

  • Strong technical knowledge of process control systems - both hardware and software
  • Previous experience in fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), ideally within liquid packaging or similar
  • Proven experience managing end-to-end capital projects
  • Familiarity with CDM 2015 regulations and managing contractor safety
  • Effective communicator with stakeholders at all levels
  • Experience with HAZOP, LOPA, DSEAR, PUWER, and associated safety protocols

Qualifications

  • A relevant degree or equivalent in Control & Instrumentation Engineering
  • NEBOSH or similar health & safety qualification
