The Role

The Town Council is looking for an experienced and proactive Facilities Manager to join its management team.  A hands-on leadership role, you will oversee planned and preventative maintenance, refurbishments and capital projects for the council’s portfolio of buildings, open spaces and assets.  This includes line management of the council’s Venue Managers and Town Ranger, and responsibility for three key venues – two of which are Grade II listed.

You will bring a commercial mindset to ensure there is focus on driving value for money, whilst ensuring condition and safety are all achieved and continually improved upon to support community use.  Driving sustainable practices, you will lead the delivery of the Carbon Reduction Plan and identify funding opportunities, including grants and partnerships that promote service delivery.
