A wonderful mid-sized nursery in Uckfield is looking for a passionate Early Years Teacher to join its dedicated team. The successful candidate will earn between £28,000 and £30,200 per year, depending on experience. Parents are highly supportive of our educational approach, and our floor-based Manager will be on hand to help you integrate your planning ideas into our routine.
We ideally seek someone to work 40 hours per week, though part-time options are available. The nursery operates year-round and offers free nearby parking with easy access to main bus routes.
Your responsibilities will include:
Build strong relationships with children and families, becoming an integral part of their development.
- Leading the classroom team, ensuring the highest standards of care, safety, and teaching.
- Plan appropriate materials in line with the EYFS
- Acting as a key person, offering guidance and mentorship to staff.

Support children in developing independence and learning new skills.

Plan engaging activities with minimal paperwork, ensuring more time with the children.
What you'll need to succeed
- Minimum 2 years of experience in the early years sector.
- Hold Early Years Teacher Status (EYTS) or Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- A confident, articulate, and passionate approach to early years education.
- Knowledge of the EYFS and statutory framework.
- Forest School qualifications or an interest in Montessori education would be beneficial.
