We're seeking an exceptional Head Chef to lead the culinary team at our clients 2 rosette winning country inn located in the picturesque town of Leyburn, North Yorkshire. This is an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary expertise in a recently refurbished kitchen, creating modern, locally-sourced menus that highlight the best of Yorkshire's produce.

With a salary of £48,000+ and accommodation options available, this role offers the perfect blend of creative freedom and career advancement in a stunning rural setting.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead and inspire a team of talented chefs in a fast-paced, fresh food-led kitchen
2. Develop and implement innovative, seasonal menus featuring locally-sourced ingredients, including Yorkshire's finest meats, game, and seafood
3. Maintain high culinary standards across all-day casual dining service
4. Oversee kitchen operations, including stock control, costings, and menu planning
5. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, including allergen management, health and safety, and HACCP procedures
6. Collaborate with the management team to enhance the dining experience and contribute to the overall success of the establishment
7. Manage kitchen staff, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluations
8. Control food costs and maintain target GP (gross profit) margins
9. Engage with guests, when appropriate, to gather feedback and enhance customer satisfaction

Required Skills and Qualifications:
1. Proven experience as a Head Chef, preferably in a rosette-winning establishment
2. Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a kitchen team in a high-pressure environment
3. Exceptional culinary skills with a passion for creating innovative, locally-inspired dishes
4. Strong knowledge of modern cooking techniques and current food trends
5. Excellent understanding of kitchen operations, including menu development, food costing, and inventory management
6. Proficiency in financial management, including budgeting and GP control
7. Up-to-date knowledge of food safety regulations, allergen management, and HACCP principles
8. Outstanding organizational and time management skills
9. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
10. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
