Time Recruitment are currently looking for a powder coater to join our well established engineering client based in Leyland. Our client is a leading manufacturer in their field and are looking for a candidate with a minimum of 1 years experience in powder coating or paint spraying. This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to continue there development with a company that continues to provide opportunities to their workforce. Duties of the role will include

  • Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, or blasting
  • Mask areas not to be coated.
  • Mix paint or powder to correct specifications.
  • Set up and adjust spray or powder coating equipment.
  • Apply coatings using spray guns or electrostatic methods.
  • Cure coated items in ovens or with drying equipment.
  • Inspect finished surfaces for quality and uniform coverage.
  • Use gauges to check coating thickness.
  • Maintain and clean spray booths and equipment.
  • Follow all health and safety regulations.
  • Report defects or issues to supervisors.

The successful candidate must be

  • Hard-working
  • Reliable
  • An effective communicator (both written and verbal)
  • experienced in paint spraying/powder coating
