Overview

I am recruiting on behalf of my client, a well-established manufacturer within the waste management sector, who is seeking a skilled and reliable individual to join their production team. This is a hands-on role based in their facility, focused on building new refuse collection equipment. The ideal candidate will have experience using power tools, a basic understanding of fixings and fasteners, and must supply their own hand tools (e.g., spanners, sockets

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble new HGV equipment to specification
  • Fit and secure mechanical and hydraulic components
  • Read and interpret technical drawings and assembly instructions
  • Use hand and power tools to complete builds accurately
  • Conduct quality checks to ensure high standards
  • Assist with installation of electrical wiring and lighting systems (if applicable)
  • Collaborate with team members to meet production targets
  • Report faults or issues to supervisors
  • Maintain a clean and work area
  • Adhere to health and safety
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives
  • Assist with stock control and inventory of parts and tools
