Job Title: HGV Body Builder
Overview
I am recruiting on behalf of my client, a well-established manufacturer within the waste management sector, who is seeking a skilled and reliable individual to join their production team. This is a hands-on role based in their facility, focused on building new refuse collection equipment. The ideal candidate will have experience using power tools, a basic understanding of fixings and fasteners, and must supply their own hand tools (e.g., spanners, sockets
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble new HGV equipment to specification
- Fit and secure mechanical and hydraulic components
- Read and interpret technical drawings and assembly instructions
- Use hand and power tools to complete builds accurately
- Conduct quality checks to ensure high standards
- Assist with installation of electrical wiring and lighting systems (if applicable)
- Collaborate with team members to meet production targets
- Report faults or issues to supervisors
- Maintain a clean and work area
- Adhere to health and safety
- Support continuous improvement initiatives
- Assist with stock control and inventory of parts and tools
