Behaviour Mentor

Location: Leyland
Start Date: ASAP
Pay: 107 - 115 per day (dependent on experience)
Hours: 08:30am - 3:30pm, Monday to Friday
Contract: Term Time Only

We are currently seeking a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to work within specialist education provisions in the Leyland area. This role involves supporting primary and secondary aged students who may present with challenging behaviour and additional needs.



The Role:

  • Providing 1:1 and small group behaviour support

  • Supporting students to manage emotions, behaviour and engagement with learning

  • Implementing behaviour strategies and positive reinforcement approaches

  • Working closely with teaching staff and pastoral teams

  • Helping to create a calm, safe and structured learning environment



Requirements:

  • Experience working with children or young people with behavioural needs (education, care, youth work or similar)

  • Ability to work confidently within specialist or alternative provision settings

  • Minimum of 24 months employment history, with no significant gaps

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (Child Workforce), or willingness to apply and pay for one

  • Reliable, resilient and passionate about supporting positive behaviour change
