Spencer Clarke Group are working in partnership with a forward-thinking secondary school in the Leyland area to appoint a passionate and dedicated Maths Teacher to join their team from September 2025.

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic educator to join a well-supported Maths department where high standards of teaching and learning are at the heart of everything they do. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, inspire a love of mathematics, and support students in achieving their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated maths lessons in line with the national curriculum.

  • Monitor and assess pupil progress, providing targeted support where needed.

  • Contribute to departmental planning, moderation, and curriculum development.

  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes high expectations.

  • Participate fully in the life of the school, including staff meetings and CPD opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

  • Experience teaching maths at KS3 and KS4.

  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.

  • A genuine passion for mathematics and student achievement.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 14.3% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
