Robotic Application Engineer

Salary: £36,000 - £40,000

Shift: Monday to Friday Days (39.5 Hours)

Location: Covering Clients in the Northwest (Field Based)

We are seeking a Robotic Application Engineer to join a leading client, specialising in driverless transport systems (AGVs and AMRs). This role is ideal for an engineer with strong programming ability, hands-on technical expertise, and a passion for cutting-edge automation technology.

Duties of the Robotic Application Engineer:

  • Install, commission, and deliver automated material handling solutions (AGVs/AMRs) to customers.
  • Configure AGV routes, parameters, and coding to align with project specifications.
  • Conduct testing, validation, and customer acceptance of systems.
  • Support risk/impact assessments with Project Managers.
  • Deliver on-site training, technical consultancy, and remote support.
  • Perform troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and corrective actions for customers.
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure successful outcomes, both technically and financially.

Skills Required for the Robotic Application Engineer role:

  • Strong programming skills in KIWI, C, C++, MATLAB, or Python (essential).
  • Qualification in Mechatronics, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or similar.
  • Knowledge of industrial robotics or automation projects (advantageous).
  • Experience in commissioning complex systems.
  • Willingness to travel extensively across the UK (up to 80%).
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and customer-facing skills.
  • Full driving licence required.
