Gleeson has exclusive partnered with a Freight forwarder company looking for an Ocean Freight Coordinator for a Multi-National business that are investing in there UK counterpart.
Job Title: Export Ocean Freight Forwarder Salary: £30,000 - £35,000Work Type : OfficeLocations: North Sutton Coldield ( Birmingham)
Duties:
- Manage service operations efficiently, provide essential information, and prepare quotes for air and sea transportation.
- Coordinate the movement of freight via air and sea.
- Deliver outstanding customer service across all transportation channels, with a focus on ocean and air shipments.
- Oversee the entire shipment process to ensure accurate and timely bookings.
- Facilitate the processing of shipment details to avoid potential delays.
- Engage with customers to deliver customised quotations that meet their specific requirements.
- Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of customs regulations, handling of dangerous goods, and insurance protocols.
- Collaborate with customs brokers, providing precise information for swift import clearance in compliance with regulations.
- Identify and report potential claims, compiling necessary details to ensure prompt and professional processing according to company standards.
- Interact with customers professionally and courteously at all times.
- Support business development activities and initiatives.
- Maintain accurate documentation, records, and system updates to ensure data integrity.
Ideal Candidate:
- 3 Years + Within a Freight Coordination
- Experience with Ocean & Air Movements
- Key Account Management
