GBR Recruitment Ltd, are recruiting for an experienced & hands on Construction Site Supervisor to lead their clients team of skilled trades, delivering bespoke builds on behalf of Commercial, Industrial & Public Sector clients UK wide.

This role is ideal for someone who has a previous background as a skilled tradesman (Joiner, Carpenter, General Builder etc.) & with more recent experience in Site Supervisor, Site Foreman, Assistant Site Manager type level roles, as this is a leadership role, but still very much hands on.

Key Tasks:

  • Delivering bespoke builds on time & to the quality desired by the end using customer, working closely with sales, design & contracts teams to make it happen OTIF.
  • Responsible for all site HSE including site inductions, RAMS & more.
  • Ensure that direct labour & subcontractors deliver works to the required specification, bringing technical drawings to life.
  • Assist in negotiating & procuring subcontract works packages
  • Assist project quantity surveyor in the formulation of interim & final accounts (both upstream & downstream).
  • Assist with carrying out site surveys & scoping of fit-out & shell works
  • Implement site procedures & processes
  • Calculate & procure materials, plant hire & skilled labour for projects in support of project quantity surveyor
  • Carry out construction programming & prepare works schedules
  • On the tools when needed, leading from the front.

Skills:

  • Must be from a trade background (ideally a multi-skilled trader) & happy t drop back onto the tools when required & necessary
  • Professional communicator & used to customer facing roles
  • Strong planning & project delivery / build planning skills
  • IT skills
  • Full driving licence

Qualifications:

  • SSTS
  • CSCS card

  • Forklift Trained
