Your new company

You will be joining a large contractor that specialises in infrastructure projects nationwide. Your new company work with a range of clients and pride themselves on delivering schemes of differing values and sizes. Due to continued success, the contractor are now looking to onboard a Contracts Manager to their team.In addition to coming from a civil engineering background, you must also be familiar with minor building works.Your new role

As Contracts Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing projects from start to finish. Within this you will ensure timelines, budgets and quality is a priority. You will also coordinate planning throughout the project. You will also ensure that you work alongside the commercial team to ensure that projects are carried out within budgets and maximise profit.Your responsibilities will include:

  • Maintaining effective and long-term relationships with clients and contractors
  • Programme planning and management
  • Being proactive in identifying and resolving problems
  • Ability to maximise profitability
  • Dispute resolution
  • Reviewing methods of working
  • Overall responsibility for health and safety initiatives

What you'll need to succeed

In order to succeed, you will have a civil engineering degree or be a chartered engineer or equivalent and will have managed contracts in the civil engineering sector along with minor works. You MUST also hold a valid CRE qualification, good internal and external stakeholder engagement to ensure projects run smoothly and be commercially aware to optimise project value.
