The position of Data Architect is available at Nettleham Fire and Police HQ in Lincolnshire on a temporary contract lasting 12 months.
The role offers a pay rate of £29.06 per hour PAYE or £38.96 per hour through an umbrella service.
Candidates must have proven experience as a Data Architect or in a similar role, along with hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS.
Key responsibilities include leading data architecture design, mentoring a team, and promoting data governance within the Force.
A degree in Computer Science or a related field is required, along with a full UK driving license and the ability to obtain security clearance.

Service Care Solutions is proud to be supporting Lincolnshire Police in their search for a highly experienced Data Architect to join their Digital and Data Solutions Directorate. This is an opportunity to play a pivotal role in modernising and shaping the Force's data landscape to support strategic and operational policing outcomes.Key Responsibilities:

Lead the design and implementation of the Force’s overall data architecture.
Provide subject matter expertise to both internal departments and partner organisations.
Support intelligence, research, investigations, and decision-making through effective data structuring.
Guide and mentor a team including Data Engineers, BI Developers, Dashboard Designers, and more.
Align architectural design with national and regional data strategies.
Promote data governance, compliance, and quality across the Force.

Requirements:

Proven experience as a Data Architect or similar, with hands-on cloud platform experience (e.g. Azure, AWS).
Skilled in SQL, data modelling, ETL tools, and data visualisation platforms such as PowerBI or Qlik.
Strong analytical, leadership, and project management capabilities.
Degree in Computer Science, IT or related field (or equivalent experience).
Knowledge of data privacy and security standards (e.g., GDPR).
Full UK Driving Licence and ability to obtain security clearance.

Desirable:

Previous experience in public sector or police data environments.
Certification in data architecture or related domains.
