Responsibilities:
As an Electrical Control Panel Builder, you will:
- Assemble, wire, and test electrical control panels according to specifications
- Read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
- Ensure panels meet quality and safety standards
- Collaborate with engineers and other team members to optimise designs
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues during the assembly process
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace
Essential (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):
- Proven experience in electrical control panel assembly
- Strong knowledge of electrical components and wiring
- Ability to read and understand technical diagrams
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality work
- Relevant electrical qualifications (NVQ level 3)
Desirable (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):
- Experience with PLCs and automation systems
- Familiarity with relevant industry standards (e.g., IEC, NEC)
- Previous experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
Technologies:
- Electrical wiring tools and equipment
- Software for design and layout (e.g., AutoCAD)
- Testing equipment for quality assurance
