Rubicon Consultingis currently recruiting for Senior Engineer on a 6 Month Roling Contract Length, based in Lincoln

Role Summary

Working as part of the Engineering team you will be responsible for the build, development, and support of industrial Human Machine Interface systems (hardware + software) for the modernisation and upgrade of Small Gas Turbines.

Key responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and test standardised HMI builds on Windows endpoints, Servers, and Clients. Including engineering software such as:
  • AVEVA Intouch
  • FactoryTalk Optix
  • Simatic PCS7
  • WinCC
  • Cybersecurity software / measures:
  • Windows hardening
  • Endpoint security
  • Whitelisting
  • Secure backups
  • Configure, develop, and test networking components such as industrial firewalls, and managed switches.
  • Develop and maintain work instruction documentation for build configurations.
  • Create and maintain information database(s).
  • Collaborate and support the Project Execution team to enhance quality and on-time delivery.
  • Identify and rectify problems found during testing of software/hardware and support the Field Service team during commissioning of equipment/software.

Requirements

  • Degree qualified or equivalent professional accreditation or recognition in an engineering discipline preferably relating to the fields of Computer Science, Control Systems, Cybersecurity
