We're seeking a Manager for our Underwriting & Operations Department - someone who’s not just great with process, but passionate about developing people, managing risk, and driving performance.

What You’ll Be Doing

As Team Manager, you’ll oversee the day-to-day operations of our Underwriting and Admin teams, ensuring outstanding customer service, accuracy in underwriting, and full compliance with internal and insurer guidelines. You’ll play a critical role in supporting the Schemes & Underwriting Manager, developing products, and upskilling the team to meet high standards.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Managing and motivating a busy underwriting and operations team
  • Providing technical guidance and resolving escalated queries
  • Monitoring workloads and performance through effective delegation and prioritisation
  • Conducting audits, risk reports, and ensuring policies are underwritten accurately
  • Supporting training and development plans for staff across the business
  • Driving improvements in customer service, operational efficiency, and underwriting quality
  • Building strong relationships with insurers and key stakeholders
  • Handling escalated complaints in line with our procedures
  • Championing compliance, learning & development, and staff engagement
