Health and Safety Advisor

My client is an employee owned construction group that regular feature in the top 100 of the Sunday times best companies to work for award. They are currently seeking an experienced Health and Safety Advisor with industry experience within construction. Where you will be joining my clients award-winning Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Team. Their in-house team aims to be approachable and flexible, working with site teams to successfully deliver projects. Reporting directly to the Head of Group Health, Safety and environment, you will have first class communication and influencing skills coupled with the ability to work on your own initiative. Job descriptionEnsure a safe workplace without risk to health & environmentEnsure company Health & Safety policies, procedures , rules and regulations are adhered to across the groupEnsure that safety inspections are carried out in line with departmental expectationsGive sound competent advice to site management, assisting in resolving highlighted issuesLiaise with external consultantsProvide regular updates of site issues to the EHS TeamAttend meetings and audits as required to fulfil the role as a team memberWork together with site teams to resolve problemsBuild strong relationships as all levelsTHE CANDIDATE:The ideal candidate is someone who has previously worked in the construction industry as a health and safety.Qualifications, Skills & Working KnowledgeWe are looking for a candidate with a strong back within Health and Safety in the construction industry Strong communication, leadership and influencing skills.
